Upside Down Festival will be held mostly in different locations within Dok Noord (a neighbourhood in the north of Ghent). We’ll create a buzzing swing dance hub in this charming historical factory and harbour area. The wonderful news is that all activities can be reached on foot and you can easily ping-pong around from one to the next!
Some activities will be held at other venues, but a maximum of 20 min walking distance from Dok Noord.
Danspunt refers to the old cotton shed that has been transformed into a dance hall with a wooden floor. This uniquely renovated hall in a historical industrial setting is now a dance location where various dance schools and organisations are located. It will be our ballroom for the evenings and location for some classes (Swing Expansion and Startrack).

This location is for the Jazz Café and some Pick ‘n’ Mix activities. It will be the center of our afternoon hang outs where you’ll have great time with everyone.

Wisper organises artistic courses in dance, theatre, music, photography, visual arts and literature for adults. We’ll be happy to welcome you in their dance studio, music studio and visual studio for our Pick ‘n’ Mix activities. Like all other locations, Wisper is located at the Dok Noord studio.

Accessibility: The rooms are located on the first level and can be reached via an elevator (next to Delhaize) for wheelchair users. You could also use the parking elevator. There are bathrooms for wheelchair users, and two gendered bathrooms.
