Supervolunteers

A festival doesn’t happen just by itself: many hands make light and bright work.

Every year we welcome around 20 supervolunteers to the beautiful chaos that is Upside Down Festival. They support the team on location.

Supervolunteers take care of a task package such as registration, the venues, the bar, decoration, catering, social media…

Hosts & volunteers

Living in Ghent? We would be very grateful if you can offer a hosting spot for a supervolunteer.

On the last day of the year, Ghentians welcome festival participants for an afternoon at home as host of Cozy@Home.

During the festival, we invite you to take on a volunteer shift. It makes a big difference and it’s a fun way to meet other people!

Inspirers

For the Tracks, we invite swing dance professionals who are capable of guiding your learning process. We try to honor the roots of Swing Dance and Music by inviting African-American artists, and by engaging artists who are respectful guests in the Culture.

For the Pick ‘n’ Mix workshops we invite a diverse group of inspiring facilitators for an equally diverse offer of workshops.

Musicians

No music, no party.

Talented musicians will be well within earshot at the jazz cafe for 3 afternoons, and at the parties for 5 nights.

As we are so lucky to have incredible musicians in Belgium, get ready to be blown away by local talent!

DJs

They spin and make us spin all night long – our DJs are magical music lovers.

Expect well-curated records at the Jazz cafe and in between live sets at the parties.
